Operation
The AirLock system provides the capability of programming keys to open locks by flexible time and day schedules. The schedules may include one lock, some of the locks or all of the locks. Keys may be assigned a start date and a date to expire. This allows for keys to be issued before they are scheduled to begin working and can be set to expire at any time in the future. By managing key expiration, the AirLock system provides an excellent means to reduce risk from lost or stolen keys. Lost key access permissions can be easily removed from the lock cylinder if necessary.
Each time a key is placed in a lock the event is recorded by both the lock and the key. The event record consists of the time and date and whether the key was authorized to open the lock. Event records are downloaded to the system logs whenever communication is established.
The secure client section of this website provides software access for administrators to prgram the system. Administrators can add or remove locks and keys, add and change schedules, change key access permissions for key holders, and monitor audit event logs and reports.
Contacting a service representative anytime 24 hours a day, will enable key holders to receive updated programming using an internet-connected laptop with IR port or through an IR enabled Windows Smart Phone.
